First question, How does it feel to now be a state champion? It's honestly so surreal. This is my first year being able to play because I've been playing club and I just wanted to go out my senior year with a win and it just feels so good to finally get that win. We've been working so hard all year. Finally feels like it's paid off. So, you did mention this is your first year playing. But for the other nine seniors who may have been on the team of the past couple of years, Just how significant is this for them? Especially after the covid season getting wiped out a year ago. I think it's just so special for all of us. A lot of the seniors played Chapel Hill two years ago, we lost 10 So we were really out for revenge. And I think all of us are just super excited to show them that we are forced to reckon with. And finally just enter senior year after all the troubles with a victory. So in a couple of one goal a results here leading up to the state finals. Just what do you think your team learned in those games to kind of put that out on the field tonight? I think we learned composure because when you're up one goal that can go anyway so quickly. So I think it's important to stay mentally sharp and just finished the game out. So uh obviously you want M. V. P. Holding the trophy there in your hand. Uh held a clean sheet tonight at the back and obviously the goalkeeper as well. Let's talk about what has been working so well for that unit. I think we've just become so close on and off the field. We know each other's strengths and weaknesses and we know how to get the job done. We know when to play smart, when to go big. Like we just have worked so hard on and off the field that we know how to get the job done. Now. A final question, you kind of alluded to this a little bit earlier. But cox Mill did play Chapel Hill in 2018 for the state title. While this coach's message to you all leading up to tonight's game, he knew that they'd be a well coached team, that they'd be technical. They'd be the best thing we played yet. We knew that after playing them two years ago, obviously I didn't have that experience, but listening to everyone, all the feedback we knew that we had to come out the physical, be strong and just getting a goal early, which is exactly what we did.
