Jonesville man set for pretrial in stabbing case Hillsdale Daily News HILLSDALE — A Jonesville man, arrested Jan. 16 in Hillsdale in connection with a home invasion and stabbing, appeared for a criminal pretrial conference Monday in 1st Judicial Circuit Court. The attorney for 22-year-old Brent Jacob Risner, David Goldstein, requested the hearing be adjourned until later in June to allow him time to learn more about another case in 2B District Court, where Risner is charged with possessing methamphetamine in November 2020. Judge Sara S. Lisznyai adjourned the matters to 1 p.m. June 28, with no objections from the Hillsdale County prosecutor’s office.
