View Comments A motorist who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Hamlin over the weekend has died from his injuries. Joseph O’Connell, 43, of Hamlin died at Strong Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, three days after he was seriously injured in a crash on Roosevelt Highway and Drake Road in Hamlin, said Sgt. Matthew Bottone of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. Sunday. O'Connell was driving south on Drake Road and failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Drake Road and Roosevelt Highway.
