INTERVIEW: SANJAY MORE,
MEDIA SHY MAYBE, BUT AGGRESSIVE IN HIS POLITICAL WORK, SHIV SENA CITY PRESIDENT
SANJAY MORE TALKS ABOUT HOW ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN PICTURES AS PART OF OUR ‘LEADERS OF THE CITY’ INITIATIVE, AND HOW BJP-RULED
PMC IGNORED THE STATE’S SUGGESTIONS DURING
PANDEMIC DUE TO EGO ISSUES
City president of the Shiv Sena Sanjay More, the first man to hold the position twice in a row, shies away from social media and publicity. Known for his aggressive political behavior, More claims he was the first political representative to distribute free ration to people during the pandemic. He feels Sena has not made the most of social media publicity “like the ruling party in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC),” but there are no regrets. More claims Sena represents citizens and getting viral publicity for charity work is not the party’s style. In a chat with Pune Mirror, the 51-year old bares his heart about how deeply the party feels for Pune’s citizens, how the PMC went wrong in the COVID pandemic and his plans for the upcoming civic election.
