Highland County Juvenile Court Kevin Greer has granted temporary custody of four children to Highland County Children Services following an emergency hearing Thursday, April 22. According to Greer, he granted custody late Wednesday afternoon after receiving a case filing at 3:43 p.m. seeking “emergency temporary custody” of the four children. “I felt like the allegations were extremely serious, and it was needed to protect the children,” he said. During the hearing, Greer interviewed case worker Amber Schiller regarding the dates outlined in the complaint filed in Juvenile Court, which alleges that the four children are "endangered, neglected and/or dependent."
