Judge Siraj Desai gets extension to respond to 'unmeritous'

Judge Siraj Desai has been granted an extension to respond to a
complaint by the SA Zionist Federation.
It approached the Judicial Conduct Committee, claiming he breached the
Judicial Service Commission Act and Code of Judicial Conduct between 2009 and
2020.
Desai was appointed the Legal Services Ombud after his retirement last
year.
Former Western Cape High Court Judge Siraj Desai has been granted an
extension to respond to a complaint by the SA Zionist Federation (SAZF) against
him with the Judicial Conduct Committee (JCC).
Desai's spokesperson, Professor Usuf Chikte, said his request for an
