The Kalamazoo Farmers Market is looking to make some big changes which they hope will get approved by the city next month as requested by The Parks & Recreation Department. On Tuesday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m., they're encouraging the public to comment on the project they have in mind at the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting, where they seek approval for a Trust Fund Development and Recreation Passport, which will allow them to add a fruit and vegetable-themed playground and replace the current restroom building. The city made the announcement on their Facebook, saying: "The playground will provide a space for children to play while parents do their shopping and will be accessible to youth in the Edison neighborhood year round. The new restroom building will double the current restroom capacity, provide a larger office, and increase storage by more than 50%."
