May 17, 2021 - 11:01 AM The Kamloops B.C. SPCA is launching a low-income spay and neuter pilot program. The program is an effort to address cat overpopulation in Kamloops, according to BC SPCA news release. “The cost of spaying and neutering procedures can be a barrier for some pet guardians,” BC SPCA community engagement manager Ashley Fontaine said in the release. “This program will assist families with the costs of a spay or neuter procedure is a barrier so they can do what is best for their cat.” Cats will receive their primary vaccines and be microchipped, along with free spaying and neutering.
