Kasargod: Two men arrested on charges of robbery, kidnapping Tue, Feb 02 2021 05:02:28 PM Stephan Kayyar Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (EP) Kasargod, Feb 2: Police personnel under the leadership of DySP Balakrishnan Nayar arrested two people of a gang accused of kidnapping and robbing Rs 14 lac from a jewellery agent. Seven others who are accused of their involvement in the robbery are absconding. The arrested are identified as Abdul Nasser (27), resident of Montugoli, Bantwal, and Abdul Rehman (45), from Hidayatnagar, Kotekar, Talapady. Police personnel are on the lookout for the remaining accused. The incident took place early in the morning on December 10, 2020. The gang of nine men had waylaid the car of the victims near Manjeshwar. The car was on its way from Mangaluru to Kannur. The gang forced Mahesh Patil and Avinash into their car and took them to a secluded place at Karudapadav. The gang robbed cash from the duo and fled from there leaving the victims at the spot.
