Kelowna contractor found exploiting foreign workers ordered to pay $90K A Kelowna contractor found guilty of exploiting foreign workers will have to shell out more than $90,000 in unpaid wages. According to an appeal decision from the BC Employment Standards Tribunal, local firm Everlasting Stucco and Stone hired three workers under the Temporary Foreign Workers program in 2018. The workers were hired for two year terms as stucco plasterers, but had their contracts reworked a month later resulting in a $10 wage reduction as well as removing overtime and statutory holiday pay. According to the labour tribunal, the three workers never agreed with the changes, but didn't report it for fear of jeopardizing their immigration status.
