Around 13,000 feet the instructor lets go, and says, fly, young birdie, fly. This would be a terrible time for her to freak out. She doesnt freak out. She starts to spin out. There is a technique to stop the spin from happening but shes not quite getting it so the instructor tries to accept in a step in and try to stop ning. Shes spinning out of control, a dangerous position to be in. How do you stop it . Its about moving your weight a certain way, and go back the other way. Right. She was not able to get her body position in the right spot to stop the spin on her own, so the instructor tries again, and just as hes about to try and tackle her, her spin does slow a little bit, and then starts to spin again. Thats where she decides you know what . Im stable enough, im throwing the pilot chute, and she goes for it, thankfully she doesnt continue to spin out of control.
