Wonderful. It turns out that dad bods are officially more attractive than abs. [ cheers and applause ] okay. All right. You guys, its its happening at record pace. 61 said men with dad bods are sexy. And this is 61 of men and women said dad bods are more sexy, which is up 10 already from last year. [ applause ] im not going to lie, i thought i would never get into the dad bod craze. A couple of years ago when it was really in. Then i dated this guy with a gut and i really liked him. So, i mean, it can happen. But still every now of course, abs are always good. I dont think youre wasting your time, michael. I dont believe there are several reasons behind this study. You always have to look at the other side. Oh, dig deep. There are more dad bods than bodies like this out there. Okay . So, of course, more people are going to go to the dad bod because you aint got a choice. And then secondly secondly, if you dont want this body, i dont want your body. Oh, oh okay. I got you. Oh, im dead. So, michael just to make a case for this, michael, you have an excuse. This is not because youre a professional athlete. Its a hard habit to drop. But a lot of men, because i dont think its as attractive as some people do, is that it looks like they focused too much on the wrong things they spend a lot of time maybe without a perspective of what matters. I want to know a man can kick back and eat snacks with me in bed. [ applause ] when youre traveling or something, my first date with max, ill admit, max was most ripped when i first met him. The first night, we ordered an artichoke dip, he was like, hold the bread to the way tres. I was like, this is never going to work. Max, i think im getting big. I want the suggestion that you have it if you want it. I want to see the build. But i need it to be soft on the outside. Also to be honest, im not into the rocktype bods. That goes too far for me. If its too rip i would make the exception it feels compressed and compact. I would make the exception for the rock because his personality is so amazing. I love you, dwayne. Have you seen his cheat meals . He posts them on instagram. He puts it out there its like the size of pizza okay, first of all, is it me or is it buffet . Im like, fancy, buffet. I was thinking to myself, do i curse too much . Now that this research has come out, i feel great. Go ahead. Im sorry. Youre right, if youre around someone and you spend other than like in professional situations, but like when they dont swear theres a point where im like, somethings off here. Do you i judge them a little bit in reverse. You know what, they say also swearing helps you deal with pain as well. Like, training day, when he shot denzel in the butt, he was like, you shot me in it helps you deal with the pain. So, i i i swear. I do. Im bad. Okay, i have to say this was another little pageturner. I got to ask the obvious question, its called the motherinlaw, is your motherinlaw alive and do we need to be concerned . Shes alive. Shes definitely alive. But i will admit that she was staying with me when i came up with the idea for the book. But its not what you think. In fact, i get along really well with my motherinlaw. Shes fantastic. Theyre rare. Im just teasing. Shes one of those, i call her, motherinlaw unicorns. She helps with the children. You know, just generally fantastic. On this particular trip, she and my fatherinlaw came from australia to the uk to give us a hand after the birth of my third child, and the thing about having a motherinlaw whos so fantastic is that it leaves my father in law without a lot to do. On this trip, he decided it was his mission to help me come up with a book idea. I wasnt looking for a new book idea. I just had a baby. I had my inlaws staying in my house for sick weeks. I was still thinking about what we were going to have for dinner and that kind of thing. Sleep. And sleep, but he wouldnt let it go. I do love him. But he was really getting on my nerves on this trip. He knows secretly this might be the fatherinlaw thats the next book. Its funny you have actually been pregnant during youve written a book during every pregnancy. Yes. [ applause ] yes, so, shes technically birthing two babies, a human one and then a literary one. Im not very productive during pregnancy. How did that happen . I had someone asked me recently, if i can only write a book when im pregnant. I said hope not. Because im done now with the pregnancies, not with the books. It actually kicked off my writing career with my first pregnancy when i decided that i knew the perfect thing to do with all my spare time. Only a firsttime mother would say this. During my Maternity Leave and i was living in canada at the time and being canadians theyre very progressive. Theyre going to pay me for a whole year for Maternity Leave. Love the canadians. And i thought, ill write a book and it wasnt as easy as i envisioned of course. Because i had a baby to look after. Was that first book. That was my first book and that was the beginning of it. There was another baby during my second pregnancy, i wrote the secret of midwives. First book to be published in english and i have continued to write through another pregnancy and newborns. Now, do the ideas come to you while youre pregnant . I have had strange dreams during pregnancy. Not the same type of literature. Was it something that came to you while pregnant . Well, the idea for the secret of midwives was inspired by pregnancy and by birth. But the rest of the ideas dont necessarily come when im pregnant. They come from all over the place all the time.
