When he thought he couldnt do it. I am blessed to have him as a son. Tamron he is awesome. Hes pretty lucky to have me as a father. [applause] wait a minute, how the hill is john legend the sexiest dude tamron john legend has set off a twitter firestorm. I am never talking to you again. They name from your heart. Hes handsome, for the record, he is handsome. I think what they were also saying is that sexy cant just be your exterior, its in your heart. You dont think thats what they meant . No. [laughter] you have a nice heart but the fact is tamron you have been married for 33 years. When you and your wife married, ive seen pictures of you, you will be involved, lets just put it nicely. You have evolved, your look and everything. Im funny looking. Tamron you are not funny looking. Funny. [laughter] she fell in love with your humor and your heart. Its not always the outside. Thats what youve got to do, baby. You are so funny. Tamron im not looking. Did you think i have my eyes close . Ive seen him do that little act before, i know whats coming up. But listen, she fell in love with your heart. I think the point of that People Magazine article is that you can have your opinion about someones exterior but we know a good heart when we see it. [laughter] okay. Youve been married 33 years, whats the secret . It cant just be exterior. Heart. I think you have to marry somebody that understands you and knows exactly who you are. And i think the only reason people Stay Together is because they know you. If you dont want to Stay Together you wont. But ultimately its on her. I think i know that i dont like me. I think a person finds you in situations, i have a woman who women in the bible dont match up to me but i think she wouldnt say that. Im so happy for you. Tamron thank you. D. L. Has been by my side when i made the big leap in my life and im so proud of you. You have this syndicated show, you always rise to the occasion except when you tell your jokes about john legend. Im not playing with him. He has a beautiful heart. Tamron up next, d. L. Shares his thoughts about comedians, sensory, everyone says we are in a culture that some people say we are in pc culture. Does he agree with it . We will be right back. Want to be shine for the rest of your life tamron we are back with my friend d. L. Hughley. So many people are talking about comedians, they are not allowed to be funny anymore. What was the complaint . I dont understand why you feel the need to apologize for a prospective. Tamron hes unapologetic as was john weatherspoon, we recently lost, one of your mentors. These are comedians who thrive. I think we live in a society where we pretend we should all feel the same way. Listen, if you dont dig what i say, i understand. You dont have to hear what i have to say. But that doesnt mean i dont have the right to say it. Why do i need to make excuse out of the guy need to. I think those things have always appealed to the comedians i love and respect, a certain kind of mind they have. Its unflinching. John was on my show about four days before he passed. The best thing about it was that we got to drink together and laugh, he was strong and healthy. And then this is sad to say but he died with gigs in the books, he died when people wanted to see what he did. And he died he didnt suffer. Like an old man withering away and hospice care. That dude died without suffering. No one wants to go but if you dont go, id rather burn out then fade away. My fondest memory of him is i never like to go out. He would have him and his wife, would have these functions, we would go over and they would bee pasadena, wed be in the house he bought drinking good wine. They he had good wine. He didnt let everybody have it, just me. Tamron you got the special line . Of this happened with me and patti labelle. Thats how you know you been anointed. The we both love hats, thats our passion. He always tries to steal my ha hats. Today i hear you are going to repay all the times you try to swipe my hats. Its your hat line. This one you bought especially for me . All right. And i was like, its important to me that you keep wearing that uniform. Its because of you that we have the beautiful country we have today. I called my agent right away and my wife and i went out there and just said hi. I heard they liked the show and whatever and as soon as i met them and understood the value and the importance of us reminding them that we not only think about them, not only we remember but we appreciate the sacrifices because its ridiculously crucial and critical for not only their morale but when they come home. Tamron veterans day is not one day, its every day. [applause] we were just talking to d. L. Hughley about people sexiest man. They have you in the all grown up. Look how far youve come. [laughs] ive come so far. Im about to be 40 in january. [applause] i know, i know what youre thinking. Tamron you are 40, thats a baby. Look, we grew up in this industry, you grow up. Im really excited about welcoming that pepper in my hair. Tamron the great . The ongoing joke i had was first of all, thats very flattering, i appreciate the glow up. Tamron you are in good company, will smith is on it, its when you get older and just get better looking. Wow, okay, thank you so much. I dont know what to say. Tamron we were talking about how people can look at on the outside at their heart is what matters in one of the things i love about you, Everybody Knows im obsessed with demi lovato. When you supported her and continue to support her publicly as she is healing, i just think that that form he made you just even more beautiful. She is an expert you supported her. [applause] was that important to show that love publicly . You know, ive said things and support for her in the past. I will tell you, first and i will just say this, we will always have a friendship. No matter what. And i just want nothing but joy and happiness for her life. [applause] you know . Tamron thats why. We can talk about what someone looks like on the outside but its your heart that shines through and it did at that moment. Youre awesome. Were going to stick around, you wont leave because we are going to talk about your mother being a great influence in your life and the gift that wilmer gave his mom and the new season of ncis. What is nick up to . A Rebel Without a cause. We will find out, we will be right back. Shine for the rest of your life [applause] tamron we are back with Wilmer Valderrama. Ncis, your character nick, this rule breaker, lone wolf, trying to have dates. This new season weve got this click clip of nick going out on a date. His story line is getting personal and professional, lets see how things are going for him. We dont have the clip . Oh, darn. Tell me about the character. Will tell you what it is. As we know, he was more of a lone wolf, he didnt play well with others. He still today hasnt said time at his desk. He actually sits on his desk. Being lone wolf, one of the things he did was not build any relationships with anyone. It keeps him on his feet and he can do what he has to do without thinking of home. Once he learns to be part of a team, he understands the value of family. And now building relationships and friendships, other emotions coming into his life. Tamron we are seeing the vulnerability in him. Your character is nothing like him, you are not alone wolf, you are social, i watch you on instagram. I see whats going on. But your mom popped up on your instagram. She hates it. Tamron she hates being on the gram . I build her an account because i travel so much, that is only so many face times you can have with your mom. I have her follow me on instagram so she checks in with me. The thing i laugh at the most, randomly i will be driving and i get a notification on my phone and i see my mother liked a picture just so you know, she has a colombian mother, she bearing barely knows how to answer a phone. Tamron but she is on your instagram liking your pictures. You just bite your mama house . I did, i did. [applause] tamron thats like every moms dream. Its dream. Tamron why was that important for you . It was super important to me, family means everything. They sacrificed so much for my sisters and me to come to america, right . They sold everything they had in venezuela so we could come here and have a better shot. And have the education that they never had. So i dont want them to be that far. To be front row to what they made possible and made happen, right . Its hard to keep your parents up to date with what youre doing sometimes, you keep living your life. Tamron you are the best son ever, congratulations. Ncis every tuesday night on cbs and of course sexiest man alive issue, check it out tomorrow. Thank you, wilmer. No stranger to flying, the 19yearold had recently bought this bright yellow ultralight and went for a practice run on monday. My plan was just to do one lap before going to work. When youre sitting there in the water, your arms are behind your back, trapped in your jacket my Biggest Issue is i got out of the plane pretty quick, but i realized with the heavyduty jacket i had on, i didnt swim. The first thing i tried to do is take it off, naturally. In the midst of trying to get it off my arms are tied behind me in this heavy waterlogged jacket. Thats not good swimming conditions. They said my core body temperature was so low my brain shouldnt have been coming back like that. Reporter he spent a night at harbor view, he had his stomach pumped and the water still in his lungs.
