And there are new warnings about a new danger in areas of california devastated by wildfires. Those areas could see dangerous mudslides during californias rainy season which begins next month and extends through april. Some areas are considered to have a 60 to 100 chance of a mud slide. They can be triggered by as little as 50 minutes of intense rain. Alex, thank you for joining us, House Speaker nancy pelosi is planning to propose a bill that would form a panel of experts to review President Trumps Mental Fitness under the 25th amendment. Whats your take on this move . This is very much Election Year politics, that this panel, first of all, its never going to pass the senate and its probably not even going to pass the house because most of the house members are back in their districts. Even if it were to pass, there isnt enough time for this panel to actually do anything of significance before the election. So this is very much nancy pelosi sort of playing the same game that President Trump is playing, which is trying to raise doubts about the president s Mental Fitness in the same way that trump has been trying to raise questions about joe bidens Mental Fitness. President trump is expected to return to public engagements tomorrow according to his doctor. The Trump Campaign wants an inperson debate with former Vice President joe biden next week. Trump has said he wont do a virtual debate. What do you make of the president s opposition to a virtual debate . Whats really happening here is President Trump is trying to wait until he can actually do an inperson debate with joe biden and honestly he needs an inperson debate with joe biden because if you believe the polls, he is behind and he needs a dramt dig change in this race and probably the best opportunity to do that is if he is on stage with joe biden mono e mono. A new poll shows joe biden building a lead in most battleground states. The president says he wants to get back to the campaign trail as early as tomorrow in florida. What do you think the Trump Campaign strategy will be Going Forward to turn the numbers around in the battleground states . The president s poll numbers are so bad that it is actually beyond any sort of amount of Campaign Travel or Campaign Rallies to fix. What the president needs to do is change the narrative of this race. If people are going into election day thinking about covid first and foremost, even former white house officials have told me that they think President Trump is going to lose this race. What the president needs to do is make this a referendum probably on the economy and who is best to rebuild this economy after the devastation of the last eight months. The only way to do that is not going to be Campaign Rallies. The only way to do that is on the debate stage. And besides being safe from coronavirus, likely what Many Americans are thinking about right now is how those stimulus package negotiations and talks on capitol hill are going. The president says lets get back in there, the democrats obviously offering some big numbers as well. So we will see what happens with that. Definitely on the top of mind of a lot of americans. Lauderdale, contractors for the states python elimination program, caught this 18foot 9 inch python deep in the everglades. State Officials Say its the largest python ever to be removed from the everglades, which really tells you there are bigger ones in there. But this is the biggest one theyve removed. Also in florida, 31yearold man visiting from california is recovering this morning from a shark attack in miami. This morning hes speaking out about that harrowing experience. Our miami affiliate wplg has the story. My girlfriend and i were hanging out on south beach. I wanted to go swimming and there were a lot of fish in the water that day, which ive later been told thats a warning. 31yearold mark is from santa rosa, california. He was vacationing in south florida this week but his relaxing trip to south beach took an unexpected turn. Bowden says he was doing some body surfing and at one point a woman ran over and told everyone to get out because she thought she had seen a shark. So they did and everyone started looking out into the water. I was looking for 15 minutes. I didnt see any fins or anything, so i thought it was safe to enter the water. Shortly thereafter bowden says it happened. It just felt like something punched my leg really hard. It was the kind of force that i felt would normally knock me over, but it didnt. I was hoping it wasnt a shark, but i knew that was a possibility. My leg, something didnt feel right. It didnt feel like i got bit, but it didnt feel normal either. He made his way back to shore and ocean rescue crews immediately wrapped up his leg before miami beach fire rescue transported him to a trauma center. Surgeons stitched up the leg and only 24 hours later bowden was released from the hospital, feeling pretty lucky. I want to thank all the first responders, miami beach ocean rescue, the medics, nurses, technicians, doctors. I really appreciate everyones help.
