New efforts are being developed to keep Kingston Police’s mounted unit on the beat, after the COVID-19 pandemic squashed community fundraising efforts.
“(Const.) Sarah (Groenewegen) and Murney are much more than an ambassador for the Kingston Police, as they also perform enforcement duties and are present in areas that require extra patrol such as downtown, the K&P Trail, the waterfront, the University District and protests,” Chief Antje McNeely told the Kingston Police Services Board on Thursday.
