You can tell earth day turned 50 because earlier today, earth changed its hairstyle and bought a corvette. This is crazy. I read about a cow in wisconsin that wandered into someones property and took a dip in their swimming pool. And as she walked out of the pool, every bull slowly pulled down their sunglasses. Finally, i saw that tomorrow is take our daughters and sons to workday or as thats now called, every single day that is our monologue everybody. And but i do feel like also there is a weird thing kind of happening. If youre looking at the Silver Lining of not going out and not driving in cars and not damaging the earth and you see these examples, when you see, you know, the canals in venice in italy have sea life swimming in venice. Meas bears and animals Walking Around in national parks, just coming out because theres no humans and theyre like, wait, we can do this. And youre like, yeah, you can always this is your land. You can do this. So i mean, there is something to i think were all kind of getting that but ive seen these reports everywhere that, yeah, we should take care of the earth more than we do. And sometimes we take a little bit of advantage and its the Little Things its the turning off the tap of water or, you know, not driving to the store and walking to the store, you know, wearing a face mask, of course. Jane goodall who has a new documentary on National Geographic right now it premiered today, actually shes just working so hard with roots and shoots and everything you couldnt even imagine. Yeah he programmed the drum machine rick produced it but adrock, you know, programmed the drums and everything on that yeah jimmy what was your beat on i need a beat before adrock did it it was something i had done on a chord drum machine. A demo on a chord drum machine jimmy really yeah. It was similar but it definitely wasnt the same it was you know what adam was way was definitely better but it was perfect jimmy he did like an 808 thing, but then you end up hanging with the beasties for like that was what was that 84, 85 that was 84. Yeah, that 84 1984 jimmy and you ive seen videos of you guys on tour in like london, maybe london, yeah. All over the world, yeah jimmy what was it like what was new york city like . Man, you know its crazy because i spent time uptown because my man, silver fox silver fox was the guy he was like he was like my rap mentor he taught me a lot about hiphop and emceeing specifically so i spent a lot of time uptown early on but i had never spent a lot of time downtown. So, you know, i would be going downtown and wed be going to like, you know id go to like cbgbs it wasnt always with adam and then, but id be like in cbgbs listening to on the punk scene, and like you know what i am saying listening to like this punk and this rock. Jimmy were you in to punk . Were you into punk huh jimmy were you into punk no, i wasnt, but i would hear rick talk about it. I would hear russell talk about it it was part of the world of new york at that time. So i would go just down there and check it out just to see what was going on. I was just very curious. You know what im saying ive always been very curious. So, i would go down to cbgs and cbgbs. That where i saw the guys like rocking extra hard you know and that did inspired me in a lot of ways. You know what im saying like, seeing those guys on stage. Different groups that i couldnt even name on stage. But they used to be like killing it jimmy yeah it was loud, aggressive it was crazy so i think that kind of stuck with me, you know, as i moved forward and started recording. You know what im saying just being around that scene jimmy youre also doing a thing that i thought was really cool on instagram called the cool down. Yeah. Its me connecting with real people i felt like, you know what sometimes, you know people, you know, can be celebrities and they can obtain a certain amount of success and they can be living a certain type of life and get disconnected from real people, man so its like, why not reach out to people, see how theyre doing, send them words of encouragement, share some love, communicate with them. It may not be the same as me performing which can happen at some point too but it allows me to really understand where people are at connect with people and send them words of encouragement. And for me, thats really important. And this is not about you know, for me, its not about politics its not about like, you know, you vote for who you want. Do what you want, but humanity you know what im saying like on a human level, we just need to care about each other. You know what im saying jimmy were asking everyone who comes on our show, and first of all, thank you again for coming on cause we love you.
