Crew members onboard a fishing boat called for help after a passenger started showing heart attack symptoms. This is what happened next. The 46 foot fishing boat was about a halfmile south of the farallon islands. Aerial video showing the coast guard lowered down onto the boat. Those partly cloudy skies and some low clouds moving across the bay and technically at this hour its still a sea breeze. So as things get started tomorrow morning, 50s in san jose, humidity in the 78 range. Similar conditions around walnut creek and you see the fog and misty skies near san francisco, 56 degrees. It talk of fire danger and gusty wind its getting to be a little hard to believe. When you wake up tomorrow morning and look at it temperatures 40s and 50s, fog inland as the sea breeze is winning the battle for the morning. Watch what happens as we head through the afternoon. Look how the clouds get pushed out over the ocean to the south. Thats the effect of the cause which is the north wind during the day. Mid70s in santa rosa, low 70s for most of the inland valleys during the day tomorrow. Lets get to the wind. Notice in the morning theres not much there. And just before sunset well begin to see those gusts starting to pick up in the north bay, napa county, inland portions of of the east bay, and by midnight is when we really think some of those stronger wind gusts will mix down, by 4 00 a. M. Notice how some of those stronger gusts are in places like san francisco. By 5 00 wind speeds start to back off a little bit on the lower elevations. Similar trend for the central bay and south bay. 5 00 starting to see the winds pick up, around midnight to 4 00 a. M. Seems to be the peak moment for the strongest wind gust and a little bit on the decline as we head towards 5 00 set along the diablo range and Santa Cruz Mountains near the summit. Notice the humidity numbers. This is very striking. Before sunrise we could be seeing Single Digits and humidity numbers in the teens. Turning dryer as you approach monday morning. That is clear sign of really rough fire conditions. As we get into tuesday well start to lose the wind. High pressure starts to lose ground, so unfortunately not really looking at any signs of rainfall. We extended the maps out to november 2nd and 3rd. Not much showing there in the longrange forecast. As we take this out to the two week outlook, near average rainfall thats a bit of good news for parts of california. As you look at the two week pattern and its still forecasting above average temperatures, thats what makes it especially tough to break out of fire season. At least the temperatures with this particular wind event, thats not going to be the story. Its going to be the wind speed and humidity numbers dropping as we head into monday morning. Tuesday a little less wind around places like san francisco. But for the hills of the north bay and east bay, red flag warning starts at 11 00 a. M. For you tomorrow and lasts through 5 00 a. M. Tuesday. Its a pretty Long Duration event. Wind speeds back off as we head toward the middle of the week and halloween looks dry and a bit warmer. Longrange forecast calling for near average precipitation. Well hope for changes once we get through this gusty and dry wind pattern that i think will be causing problems for tree damage and obviously fire danger extremely high until tuesday morning.
