Most of the defendants are nigerian suspects and they hacked email accounts and businesses and romance scams targeted the elderly. Authorities arrested 14 suspects so far, a little including 11 in los angeles, alone, this morning. These schemes were part of a larger conspiracy and some of the conspirators directly solicited the victims and others coordinated and participated in laundering stolen funds. The indictment alleges that the labased group of money launderers received at least 6 million in stolen money. The overall conspiracy attempted to steal another 40 million. The saga continues and its not finished. He is now accused of 20 incidents of sexual assault. Randolph halterman was rearrested yesterday at his home in menlo park and police said since the initial arrest in july, six people have come forward to say that he abused them and the alleged crimes date back to the 1980s.
