Reporter last night, the City Council Acting as the Stadium Authority voted to terminate an agreement with the niners that allows them to manage the stadium for all events. The team would still get to manage nfl football games. Out of the 10 events, you have 6 moneylosing events. Thats their performance record. Reporter the city also claims the 49ers shorted contract workers by denying them prevailing wages. We cannot let any business commit the crimes of wage theft. Reporter the 49ers declined to be interviewed, but sent us a statement suggesting the battle is just beginning. Quote, the 49ers will continue to manage levi stadium. The citys announcement is just a step in the self destructive process they began years ago. All of those efforts failed, just as this latest attempt will also fail. The team also said the wage issues were settled with its contractor. We called the company which confirmed that. The 49ers completely remedied the situation and have paid us in full. We have in turn paid our employees. Reporter the city now wants records for other contracts saying the team is no longer trusted. The city says it will terminate its contract with the Team Effective november 15th. El camino real has reopened after a Police Officer struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street. New video shows the pedestrian trying to cross in the jay walking. It happened just after 9 30 this morning. While a redwood city Police Officer was responding to an emergency call. The officer struck that pedestrian, then hit some other vehicles before coming to a stop on the sidewalk. The officer climbed out of their passenger window and rescued her k9 from the car. Both were okay the other also unharmed. El camino real had to be closed for several hours while investigators made sense of the scene. Its very sad. Its really too bad. I hope the man that was hit will be okay. And police say that the road was wet from the rain when the crash happened, but a witness said that it was just misting at the time.
