The Governors Office sent a letter to the counties warning they could lose disaster funding if they continue to defy orders. The county leaders say they opened up because the areas had fewer covid19 cases and other parts of the state. Just yesterday, Wilson Walker visited Sutter County were Business Owners told him the shutdown order was the right call but it is also right to start reopening. Napa and sonoma counties have aligned their orders with the state space to guidelines. That mean some retail shops are open for business tonight. That is for the first time in more than a month. One florist in napa was overloaded with orders ahead of the big mothers day weekend. The owner of carpenters florist said he was relieved to be able to open before the rush and was able to bring back 15 employees to help out. We are doing the best we can with what we have and we are happy to do it. Whatever it takes to do we do it. At this moment look out for your neighborhood florist and business. They need your support. Them just go to the big box retailer. They have a little advantage over folks like this. It is time to rebalance thanks. Some businesses in Sonoma County are moving slower with the reopening process even though they were allowed to many businesses decided not to open their doors today. Many are triple checking roles and making sure there social distancing protocols are failed proof before they are put into action. It has been a challenge for some shop owners we spoke with.
