They are also making loudspeaker annoucments asking passengers to watch their step as they enter and extit the train. They also told kron 4 in a statement that we are continuing to remind people to stay behind the yellow safety strip before boarding and while existing the train, and to remind parents traveling with Young Children to hold their childs hand, and stay with them when boarding and exiting the train, just as they would when crossing a busy street. This began when police tried to pull over a stolen pick up truck in antioch. That was just before one this afternoon in the area of somersville road and delta fair boulevard. Kron4s gabe slate reports. Sound from locals reacting to the crash according to the Contra Costa Sheriffs Department this white ford pick up truck was reported stolen this morning. A contra costa sheriffs deputy spotted the truck on bailey road in pittsburg. And then began to follow the truck. Which merged onto highway 4 east bound. A couple miles down. At the sommersville exit off highway 4 in antioch the Sheriffs Office says the truck took the sommerville exit ramp at a high speed as if to shake the deputy that was tailing them. The sheriffs spokesperson said at the end of the exit ramp the driver of the white stolen truck, only identified as a 23 year old pittsburg resident, ran a red light at sommersville road and collided with this grey pick up truck that had three people in it. 2 of them were children. All three passengers in the grey ford truck were injured and transported to local hospitals. The driver of the of stolen truck was also injured and transported to a hospital. Thats a sign of cold air behind the main cold front. This will likely be the coldest storm of the season with highest mountains seeing a dusting of snow. Snow level will drop to around friday. Citys like oakland say they wont cooperate with agents and lawyers say you need to know your rights. Just last month we saw nationwide ice raids at seven Eleven Stores across the country. 21 people were arrested here in the bay area. This immigration sweep is said to be much bigger than that one. Possibly more than 15hundred people taken into custody. Attorneys that i talked with said if ice agents knock on your door dont open it and dont give them consent to open it. Agents usually have civil ice warrants, not judicial warrants which they need to enter your home. Judicial warrants are rare. If you do come face to face with them and are being questioned lawyers i talked with said dont say anything and dont sign anything. Contact with ice isnt necessarily the end of the world. Then telling the group that the inmate needed to be taught a lesson. Authorities say the inmate went to the hospital with a broken nose and cuts and bruises. Bailey has been on administrative leave since the allegations surfaced. During the investigation, detectives interviewed over 20 employees and inmates. Police wore protective gear and face masks as they searched the home where they say 13 victims were held captive. Authorities arrested 57 yearold david turpin and his wife louise on sunday. They are accused of shackling their 13 children to beds. Those children. Ranging in age from two to 29. Family members say the couple was always very private and refused to let them visit. And tonight we are learning the turpin family used to live in rio vista, texas. A woman who used to be their neighbor recognized the family name instantly after news of the couples arrest. Reporter jason allen show us the disturbing photos of what their old home used to look like. When the Anderson Family bought this home 18 years ago, they thought the former owners the turpins were just upset they lost it in foreclosure. They still have pictures of what it looked like windows were broken out and boarded up; the carpets and walls were covered in waste; there were scratches on the backs of doors, that the new owners athought might be from animals.
