It is something happening every day, and its a sign of us getting back to normal. There have been no major issues driving south on 880. 7 02, lets go back to the headlines. Alameda county now has more confirmed coronavirus cases than any other bay area county. 65 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 2522. Santa clara county, they used to have the highest number of coronavirus cases. Santa clara, now has 2483 confirmed cases. 38 new cases were reported yesterday. As of today, the bay area has more than 11,000 confirmed infections here. Every bay area county, with the exception of napa county, reported new cases in the last 24 hours. Now several bay area counties report the number of deaths related to the coronavirus, following a two day streak of no casualties, alameda, santa clara, and san mateo counties reported the least, 14 people, died yesterday. This comes after no reported deaths on sunday and monday. That hasnt happened since the early days of the pandemic, back in march. Experts say a two daybreak in the loss of life is promising. And a step in the right direction. You have to be careful, because two days is a very short period of time to make generalizations. But, in the bay area, overall, it has been flattening. Now, the experts credit a combination of social distancing, use of gloves and masks, and also shelter in place orders for flattening the curve. One bay area county is taking the next big step in reopening its country. Napa county at the green light from the state to move into the second part of phase two of governor Gavin Newsoms plan to reopen telephone.
