Bicyclist and garage truck around 7 30 this morning in Center City Philadelphia near 11th and spruce street. Witnesses say the bicyclist, woman who was in her 30s, was riding in the bike lane, on spruce, toward 11th, when at the intersection the garbage truck appeared to mate a right turn. The and it collided, woman suffered crushing injuries. She was absolutely motionless. Nearby outside his home, this fatal crash happened, and he says he did not see the woman wearing a helmet. He also says in the 28 years since he he has lived here, hes seen several bike sicklies cents hit by drivers at this intersection, one last week. At that time the bicyclist got hit by a driver, and another car, and they just he got up and they argued a little bit, but the bicyclist just got back on the bike and just road away. And, unfortunately, that did not happen for the woman bicyclist in this mornings crash. Authorities say, when they got on scene, she had no vitals. She was taken to jefferson hospital. Then officially pronounced there, police have not yet released the identity of the woman but we do expect to get more information from them later about how this woman bicyclist was, and exactly how this collision happened. Happened 8 15, 4800 block street road. Police say the driver stopped briefly at the scene, spoke to one of the victims and got back into his vehicle and drove away. They say the vehicle the suspect was driving may have look Something Like this. The pickup truck should have right front end damage on it. And it had a ladder rack, possibly a ladder on the top. And the driver was, i think, wearing a nicks hat. Police say the victims are 19 year old female in critical condition, 18 year old male suffered minor. We dont want we want to do it now. When mary arrived it was like time stood still. Oh, my gosh. Their love for each other, evident. How did you know mow like this . Even though she arrived early, nothing else mattered. Weve grown up together. Weve grown old together. Not old yet. After a quick snapshot, they were on their way again. So im taking, honestly, i mean, this is like dream come true. How many people get to do Something Like this . No words, before it is too late. Doesnt it make you want to go hug your friends . The ladies said it was a dream come true, and are going to stay in contact for the remaining years, and i have strong suspicion theyll keep keep that promise.
