Lack of digital skills among workforce concerns of HR expert

At least one stakeholder in the island's human resource sector is concerned that the lack of adequate digital literacy in the workforce will result in persons being left behind as the COVID-19 pandemic prolongs.
President of the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ), Lois Walters, argues that the issue of employees not being digitally literate is a serious challenge.
She was addressing a recent workforce development forum hosted by the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce under the theme, 'Workforce development during and after a pandemic'.
Walters opined that with some employees lacking in digital skills, this will result in them lacking the knowledge of how to protect themselves while they navigate the online space.
