A rare 1988 Lamborghini LM002 off-roader has been listed for sale in New York, with an asking price of US$269,500 (AU$350,000). This particular example – according to the seller – was delivered new to a customer in Miami, before making its way north in the early 2000s. Drive comes from a front-mounted Lamborghini 5.2-litre V12 engine lifted from a Countach supercar, capable of producing 331kW/498Nm.
Power is sent to the ground via a five-speed manual transmission, allowing the 2670kg behemoth to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a claimed 7.7 seconds.
