About 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, Frankenmuth police officers and firefighters responded to a fire at a residence in the 600 block of Country Lane. Upon their arrival, they and neighbors were able to quell the fire with handheld extinguishers, said Police Chief Donald C. Mawer.
