TROY – The Lansingburgh Central School District plans to reopen all its schools for in-person learning by March 1.
The district announced the decision in a letter sent out to residents following the Board of Education meeting Monday night.
With the exception of one elementary school, the district relied on remote learning since the start of the school year because of expected cuts in state aid.
The district had only opened Turnpike Elementary School for students when the 2020-21 school year began citing the anticipated 20 percent reduction in state aid or about $6.5 million resulting from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on state revenues.
