Crowds of youths descended on Hoglands Park in Southampton in "breach of Covid-19" regulations. According to police, more than 100 people gathered there on Thursday night playing loud music, drinking and leaving litter. Officers broke up the crowds which they said was not helping the NHS. Commenting, Cllr John Noon said that when he walked through the parks the following morning they looked clean and that any litter must have been cleaned up very quickly by council cleaners. Representing the Bargate ward he added: "I do feel people meeting in large groups in contravention of COVID regulations act in a selfish manner by putting themselves and others at risk."
