Jon Maginot told council members April 27 the city has “responded admirably” to the need for social distancing and mask wearing, reflected in the relatively low numbers of COVID-19 cases and the high numbers of vaccinations. A review of the seven U.S. Census tracts in Los Altos reveals that the city totaled 636 reported cases of COVID since the pandemic began. In addition, Maginot said 82% of Los Altos residents ages 16 and older have had at least one dose of a vaccine.
