FARC Takes Hostage Eight Venezuelan Military Officers

CARACAS – The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army (FARC-EP), the rogue offshoot Colombian political party that didn’t accept the 2006 Bogota peace accords, reported to the Red Cross it had taken eight Venezuelan military officers affiliated with the Nicolás Maduro regime as hostages.
In a letter to the Red Cross International, the FARC-EP labels the men as “prisoners of war.” The letter was first posted by high-profile Venezuelan NGO Fundaredes and is now being picked up by Venezuelan and international media. However, LAHT could not verify it independently.
