Latté Da intends these virtual shows to entertain us until it's safe to gather for live theater, but there's no getting around the fact that the past several months have sometimes felt like a very mean time. "Twelve Blocks From Where I Live" finds actor Regina Marie Williams shifting between the natural beauty she observed near her south Minneapolis home last summer and the ugly events that occurred the titular distance away on May 25, when George Floyd died at the hands of Minneapolis police. Throughout the half-hour program she also discusses the violence that occurred in response to the killing, but she seems inclined to focus on beauty: birds in flight, people feeding each other, peaceful protests.
