LEBC welcomes sidecar savings proposal, pushes for wider reform By Jon Yarker 20 Kay Ingram National advice firm LEBC has welcomed a sidecar saving proposal from the Tory Reform Group and the One Nation Caucus but is calling for the government to expand its reform ambitions. Led by Conservative MP Damian Green, the measure is one of several aiming to bring the “country back together and deliver a recovery that serves those most hurt by the pandemic”. This group has suggested the government should consult on a sidecar savings mechanism within auto-enrolment to encourage emergency savings to be built up. A pilot initiative has already been conducted by Nest Insight with support being shown by both employers and employees.
