Legislative committee investigating NCHSAA to hold meeting next week Tags: By Nick Stevens, HighSchoolOT managing editor Raleigh, N.C. — The legislature's special committee investigating the N.C. High School Athletic Association will hold its second meeting next week. Sen. Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) and Rep. John Bell (R-Wayne), co-chairs of the Joint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations' Subcommittee on Interscholastic Athletics, have scheduled the meeting for Thursday, May 20, at 2 p.m. An agenda for the meeting has not been released and it is not clear if any outside parties will be in attendance to testify. The subcommittee held its first meeting in April where N.C. High School Athletic Association Commissioner Que Tucker answered questions from legislators for more than two hours.
