Letter: Remembering fallen bicyclists I am deeply moved by your article March 13 about the "Ghost bike" placed on Waverly Road, near where Jeffery Green was recently killed on a bicycle. I placed that Ghost Bike on behalf of the deceased rider and Pedal Holland. In April 2013, I had an accident on a road bike after losing control on gravel. I could have been killed or left in a permanent vegetative state, were it not for the immediate actions of JP, a man driving by at that moment. Ironically, JP and I had had a rewarding doctor-patient relationship for 20 years by then. Instantly, our roles were reversed. He did not know I had suffered six skull fractures, but wisely held my head still until the ambulance arrived. JP saved my life by saving my brain.
