Article content The current discussions about the location in Stratford of the Xinyi Glass Factory remind me of the 10-year (1964-1974) debate about the future of City Hall – to tear it down and replace it with a 12-storey hotel (with revolving restaurant on top), or to renovate and rejuvenate the historic building. Today, we know which route was best and are grateful for the city taking it. With the glass factory proposal, we have a similar situation: a major development that could change the face of the city.
