Reply Dear Editor, I am a concerned citizen of 29 years, a former warrant committee member, soccer board member and proud parent of three MHS grads. I am a strong supporter of the diligent work done by Medfield Energy Committee and the two articles (21 and 22) that they've proposed for TM. Re: 21, residential and commercial utility customers in Medfield would gain – at their discretion – the ability to aggregate demand with other customers, thus providing the ability to negotiate lower rates and/or obtain the energy from cleaner sources. Under this well-structured plan, customers would be able to opt-out with no penalty. NO DOWNSIDE! We've all been tied into monopolistic utility structures for so long, this leads to a simple question: why wouldn't we vote to provide ourselves with more cleaner and cheaper options?
