Jul 07, 2021 - 11:58 As it stands Libya has recorded 198,142 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, a number notably smaller than neighbouring countries. [Photo: MSO] The third batch of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine, consisting of 100,000 doses, was delivered to Libya’s Medical Supply Organization (MSO) this week. The shipment arrived yesterday afternoon at Mitiga International Airport and will be distributed to the public as the first dose of the two-dose system. The spread of the Covid-19 in Libya has slowed significantly in recent months, with the country recording its first few days without any Covid-related deaths in May.
