Majority Floor Leader and lawyer Raul Corro told the Manila Bulletin that Muntinlupa has an existing ordinance on liquor ban. Police manning a quarantine control point at the Muntinlupa-San Pedro, Laguna boundary (Muntinlupa PIO) Ordinance No. 2021-216 was enacted last March 15 “banning the sale, delivery, and consumption in public places of liquor and other alcoholic beverages during community quarantine in Muntinlupa City due to the COVID-19 pandemic and amending for this purpose Ordinance No. 2020-111.” Business establishments that violate the ordinance will be closed for one week for the first offense and their business permits will be revoked for the second offense.
