Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist announced on Tuesday the state's guidelines for implicit bias training. The governor had signed an executive directive last year creating the task force on racial disparities. Watch the announcement here: The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs adopted new administrative rules that require implicit bias training as part of the knowledge of skills necessary for the licensure or registration of health care professionals in Michigan. Tuesday's announcement caps almost 11 months of collaboration and engagement with licensees, insurance providers, hospitals, health care associations, legislators, state agencies, high education and community and advocacy groups.
