I’m too old, too young, too late, too stupid, too bold. They’d never accept me. I’d never measure up. What’s the point? All apathy. There are so many more. Fatalism, confusion, despair, hopelessness, helplessness. So often in my life, I have searched for a saviour; idealized or idolized someone who I thought would take me out of my life and bring me to the fresh greener stuff on the other side of the river bank.
