Local lifeguards honored for going above and beyond Unmute ENDICOTT (WBNG) -- In June, three Endicott-area lifeguards were at the right place at the right time when a medical emergency took place on the hill just outside the Northside Pool. On July 19, the Village of Endicott Board of Trustees recognized the trio for their efforts to help a resident in need of assistance. When an elderly woman needed help on the hill, the girls called 911 and used their lifeguard skills to check her breathing and keep her hydrated in the heat. "It doesn't matter whether I'm here at the pool, in another state, at my own house, my lifeguard training gives me CPR and first aid, which could apply to like any situation anywhere I am," said Lily Gill-Martiny, one of the lifeguards.
