AT ditches barrier
Auckland Transport (AT) has abandoned plans for a safety crash barrier on Sandspit Road, following community opposition and budget constraints.
Residents claimed the barrier, due to be located east of Hamilton Road, was unnecessary and would actually create a traffic hazard (
MM May 20).
