JUSTIN ADAMSON, aged 42, was sentenced to 876 days in prison after being convicted of burglary. He had walked into a house and picked up car keys, but was only prevented from driving off when the brave woman owner realised what had happened and confronted him as he sat in the driver's seat with the engine running. Bernard Brookes BERNARD BROOKES, a convicted paedophile, sought to keep his sordid past a secret from a new partner and her children. Brookes, aged 48, had previously been jailed for a sexual offence committed against a 13-year-old girl and was being supervised in the community on his release.
