PHOTO VIA ARIEL AVENDANO/ MANILA BULLETIN Aurora police director Col. Julio Lizardo said at least 62 round logs, measuring 50 cms in diameter with a spam of 36 feet long, were discovered in the shorelines of Bgrys. Zabali and Sabang in Baler, and other coastal villages in the municipalities of Dingalan, Casiguran and Dinalungan.
Lizardo said the logs bore the markings of ‘Papua New Guinea’, a country known for its rich natural and mineral resources.
“We are still determining how these huge logs have swamped in coastal villages considering that there were no reports on sightings of foreign cargo vessels which cruise in Aurora waters,” Lizardo said.
