The free Mobile Recess Program, which runs from 3 to 5 p.m. weekdays in various locations in the city allows for supervised play times where kids ages 5 to 14 can play with arts and crafts, sports and other recreation equipment. The free Community Learning Hubs program offers Long Beach Unified School District students in grades K-8 a space in various locations with access to high-speed internet and other resources to finish their homework or other online assignments. In addition the program offers after-school activities, including academic support, sports, fitness and more.
