Electricity, water, and telecoms heads yesterday gave updates on progress in restoring service but not all the news was good during a press conference between Government and private sector leaders at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. Managing director of Barbados Light & Power (BL&P) Roger Blackman said 200 poles have to be replaced along with 45 transformers and a kilometre of wire restrung, but the company was hoping that by the end of yesterday 65 per cent of their customers would have back service.
