A lorry overturned near the Raith Interchange at around 2.30am today AN OVERTURNED lorry has wreaked havoc on the M74 this morning. Two lanes near the Raith Interchange have been shut for much of the day following the incident at around 2.30am. Police say the driver of the lorry - understood to be carrying onions - has been taken to hospital as a precaution. As of 10.10am, recovery work at junction 4 and 5 remains ongoing with two lanes still closed. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 2.30am on Friday, March 12, officers were called to the M74 near the Raith Interchange following a report of a lorry overturning.
