OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
Sam Way
Take one super producer obsessed with hook-ridden pop music, add the dulcet tones of a unique and experimental indie artist and have them create a song remotely without ever meeting each other. The result? Turns out ROB LATE & SAM WAY just make relentlessly charming pop music.
The release of Closer on Dec 18th follows the meteoric emergence of producer Rob Late and his recent singles Love you Better and Bump. Created entirely in lockdown 1.0, Closer was only made possible via zoom calls, home studio assemblies and more than a handful of WAV transfers.
Back and in good company with singer Sam Way, the end result is a compelling pop hybrid with head nodding bass lines, sophisticated rhythms and an enticing vocal performance from the Devonshire singer-songwriter.
