By: Times News Service Muscat: The trough of low pressure (AlAtaya) is expected to affect the Sultanate from Friday, 7th May till Monday, 10th May 2021, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced in the report. CAA said in the report, "The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre weather analysis indicates that a trough of low pressure (AlAtaya) is expected to affect the Sultanate from Friday, 7th May till Monday, 10th May 2021." "Varying intensity rain occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh to very fast winds and hail over Musandam governorate and Al Hajar Mountains and surroundings extend to the coastal areas of North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat and South Al Sharqiya and flash floods (wadis) are expected and chances of isolated rain over parts of Al Wusta governorate. Chances of blowing dust and flying unstable objects due to the wind."
