Lubbock police release sketch of attempted kidnapping suspect Staff reports The Lubbock Police Department’s Special Victims Unit on Monday released an artist's rendering of a suspect as it seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of attempting to kidnap a teenage girl earlier this month. Lubbock police were dispatched just before 10 p.m. May 4 for a report of an attempted kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl, according to a police statement. Upon further investigation, investigators with LPD’s Special Victims Unit were able to determine the victim was jogging in the 5000 block of Interstate-27 when the suspect approached her from behind and placed her in a chokehold.
